Our Week at Four Paws Kingdom Campground & Dog Retreat

Our first stop on our tour of the country we decided to go to North Carolina where we stayed at Four Paws Kingdom Campground & Dog Retreat.

What a first leg of our trips. We packed our toys, some food and enough water for a camel . We spent the week getting acquainted with our new home, relaxing, and learning to live in the moment. And it went successfully. We are not the same people we were when we left. A lot of the pressure of the corporate world has washed away and a creative calm has set in. These two dogs did a complete 180 especially apollo who has never been socialized and is a rescue and he was walking up to complete strangers by the end of the week and listening to me very well, coming and sitting something he never really did before. I can say with great certainty that after this week, this is most certainly the life for us. There will be growing pains as we learn as we go, making new beautiful, and crazy memories along the way. We also met so many other dogs living their best lives, all so much more well behaved then our two, and I had the privilege of Photographing numerous dogs around the campground.

The campground was dotted with cute themed little cabins and RV options for reservation and let me tell you, had we not had the motorhome, we would have loved a week in them as well. They were all themed and named and I could not wait to snap pics of my favorite area's of the park.

Apollo and I decided to try our hand at agility, and needless to say he was a fan, even doing the one by himself without me asking. He doesn't get the slalom but it sparked an interest and we will most certainly be doing agility type things down the road. Here are a few pics of the agility park and ma boy livin his best life!

We absolutely loved our time at 4 Paws, it was an all over wonderful experience, we made so many beautiful memories and met so many wonderful people already so to close my posts from leg one, I will bring to light one of the biggest highlight of the experience aside from the dogs, and the friends we've made and that is the absolute gorgeous landscape the 4 Paws team clearly takes time to maintain and create not only a peaceful atmosphere but a beautiful one as well from the minute you enter the camp to the pond at the very far end. It is well worth the visit if you love dogs and want to get away with yours for the weekend. I miss the friendly staff already and know I will be back anytime I come through the area.

I took So many more photos, I could go through for another week, but I think I've made my point. 4 Paws Animal Kingdom was the best destination for 2 new motorhome owners, and complete novice city slickers, and their two dogs could ask for. They were super helpful getting us set up, understanding how overwhelming the move was. We had some issues with our motorhome. We sprung a leak and apparently the roof was not resealed properly last time and was in dyer need of TLC. The campground recommended RV Repair and they came out quick, gave us a fair estimate, were quick, professional, and exceptionally knowledgeable. They got us completely up and running and confident that this is certainly the lifestyle for us. To close this post here is another gallery of just Apollo and Charlie. The two stars in my life who are loving this adventure and becoming completely different dogs as our bonds grow stronger. So does our understandings. Thank you my babies for making this the trip of a lifetime! This is an awesome adventure no matter what but I CANNOT imagine this wild adventure without you.

Thank you all so much for reading down to here! I hope yinz are all well and have a wonderful day!
